Class registration, a calendar, and community news in one clear bilingual home.
The challenge
Founded in 2010, the Czech School of Los Angeles teaches Czech to children from age three, plus youth and adults, under the patronage of American Sokol Los Angeles. A small volunteer-run school needed to handle a term's worth of class registrations, keep families up to date, and speak to two audiences — Czech-speaking parents and English-speaking families — without doubling the work.
What I built
I built a bilingual site that leads with the two things families actually need: registering for classes and knowing what's happening when. An events calendar, an About (O Nás) section, and clear details on Saturday sessions round it out, all editable by the team without touching code.
The result
Registration and term information now live in one place families can find and trust, freeing volunteers from answering the same questions by email.
